In a year that required all of us to reimagine our every day, Operation Surprise changed, too. For the first time ever, The Home Depot Foundation expanded the annual campaign to reach not only veterans, but frontline workers like first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, those facing food insecurity and more.
Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, partnered with local nonprofit organizations to spread holiday cheer to those who couldn’t safely leave their own homes. We also surprised nonprofits with cash grants, paid 500 mortgage or rental payments for veterans and delivered countless messages of hope. Together, we put good into action and supported communities in need.
