ATLANTA, May 19, 2020 -- The Home Depot®, the world's largest home improvement retailer, today reported sales of $28.3 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2020, a 7.1 percent increase from the first quarter of fiscal 2019. Comparable sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2020 were positive 6.4 percent, and comparable sales in the U.S. were positive 7.5 percent.

At The Home Depot, our associates pride themselves on living the company’s values in and out of the aisles. Channeling this pride, associates have taken to social media using #HDStrong to circulate stories of Home Depot’s values in action.  Here are a few of the inspiring efforts our associates have made in their communities. 

On Friday, June 26,  Georgia’s anti-hate crimes bill was signed into law. Georgia was one of only four states that did not have such a law, which aims to deter hate crimes by imposing sentencing guidelines for anyone convicted of targeting a person based on race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, mental disability or physical disability.

For a local Home Depot store in Norfolk, Virgina, summer officially arrived once Store Associate Sean Galvin finished his annual art project: painting their mulch pallets.
