A SMART HOME FOR A SPIRITED VETERAN: THE INSPIRING STORY OF TODD LOVE

September 26, 2014

After enduring one of the most life-altering hits a soldier can take, veteran Todd Love hasn’t surrendered to a future of hardship. Instead, he’s continuing his life adventures – full speed ahead.

Corporal Love, a third generation Marine, stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving in Afghanistan and sustained injuries resulting in the loss of both his legs and his left arm.

Even though his life has been forever changed, Love says he has discovered much about himself through his experience. The skier, sky-diver and alligator-wrestler is more of a thrill-seeker than most, using his condition as inspiration for exploring what’s possible in life rather than a road block to following his passions.

To help him live life to the fullest, The Home Depot, in partnership with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, helped fashion a brand new, fully accessible smart home for Corporal Love. Team Depot lent a helping hand, adding the final touches to the home before handing the keys over for Love to enjoy.
