THE HOME DEPOT FOUNDATION TO AID IN GULF FLOOD RELIEF EFFORTS

August 17, 2016

The Home Depot Foundation today announced relief grants totaling $700,000 for disaster assistance in Louisiana and other Gulf communities impacted by recent flooding. Assistance includes contributions to the American Red Cross, Team Rubicon and Operation Blessing.

Team Depot volunteers are also assembling to help with the relief and cleanup efforts, joined by Team Rubicon, an organization that unites military veterans with first responders. Team Rubicon has set up its base camp at a local Home Depot store.

In addition to The Home Depot Foundation’s financial support, The Home Depot’s operations, supply chain, HR and merchandising teams have assembled a disaster response task force to move badly needed water, meals and other supplies into the region for local residents and the company’s associates.
