Relief Efforts Continue in Communities Impacted by Midwest Disasters

May 30, 2019

As a record number of tornadoes continue to sweep across the Midwest and flooding threatens neighboring states, The Home Depot Foundation and Team Depot, the Foundation’s associate-led volunteer force, are aiding in clean-up and relief efforts.

The Home Depot Foundation along with local Home Depot stores sent emergency water and storm clean-up supplies to Kansas City, Kan., and Jefferson City, Mo., while activating warehouses for distribution of additional supplies in Tulsa, Okla., and Dayton, Ohio, in partnership with Convoy of Hope.

As damage is assessed, Team Depot volunteers will coordinate clean-up crews to help impacted communities remove debris and rebuild. Additionally, The Home Depot’s employee assistance program, The Homer Fund, is continuing to provide emergency financial assistance to associates affected by these tornadoes.

We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
