This holiday season, retail stores across the country are gleaming with garland and lights, ready to supply shoppers with every gift and seasonal item on their wish list. But, how do stores prepare for Black Friday sales and the holiday shopping season?
At Home Depot, our Black Friday and holiday store transition elves are known as the Merchandising Execution Team, or MET.
A key player in everyday merchandising operations at the store, MET kicks it into high gear to transform our stores for the holidays. Nearly 1,000 holiday products are merchandised in each store during this 250-hour holiday transformation. After holiday merchandise and displays are set in store, MET completes the final Black Friday price markdowns Friday morning before the doors open first thing in the morning.
So, what does all of this actually look like? Check out our MET holiday store elves in action as they work to prepare for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season.
