When you walk into Scott Feldman’s workshop, there’s a flurry of family activity. From one week to another, his family team tackles different creative projects, working together to solve artistic puzzles and build installations from scratch.
This holiday season, Scott and his family teamed up with The Home Depot to showcase gift ideas and bring seasonal special buys to life by building cheer…literally.
“I love when people come to me with big ideas and ask how to make them happen,” says Scott. “When Home Depot approached me about helping them build cheer for the holidays, I immediately pictured a 3D visual of giant wooden letters spelling out ‘Build Cheer.’ It was a puzzle I couldn’t wait to figure out.”
These life-size letters have been the star of the season on Facebook and Twitter for Home Depot’s special holiday buys and gifting ideas. But, how did these hand-crafted letters come to life?
First stop? The Home Depot for supplies. Then the Feldmans got to work. From hand-drawn napkin sketches to meticulously cutting wood pieces, the family takes pride in doing everything by hand.
And, just like the hard work that goes into making the magic of the holidays happen in our homes, this family of craftsmen rolled up their sleeves to bring cheer to life.
Three and a half weeks of hard work later, the large-as-life letters stand tall, signaling the start of a season filled with building cheer.
