Vietnam War veteran and Westside resident Alvis Haadee’s home needed repairs. After using his savings to make initial updates, his home still needed interior updates, a new mailbox and landscaping.
Ahead of the “Big Game” in Atlanta, The Home Depot Foundation partnered with HouseProud and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow to give back in Atlanta’s Westside community by refreshing Alvis’ home as part of The Home Depot’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of U.S. military veterans and their families.
Alvin was grateful to receive the help. “That’s what’s special about coming together to give back is you can make someone else’s day,” Tim says. “The people at Home Depot really did that, and I’m just really thankful for their service and for an organization that cares so much.”
