“I’m the luckiest man on earth. I got to come home,” says Army veteran Brandon Adam.
Brandon was wounded in combat by an AED, losing both of his legs and suffering a serious back injury and nerve damage. Returning to his two-story home in Colorado proved challenging for Brandon and his wife and two daughters.
“These homes weren’t built for guys like me,” he explains.
But thanks to The Home Depot Foundation and The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Brandon and his family will move into a specially adapted smart home in 2019. On Saturday during the annual Army vs. Navy football game, The Home Depot Foundation recognized Brandon and his family on the field before kickoff.
