The transition from military to civilian life can be a major obstacle for many of our nation’s veterans. The SRO Housing Corporation in Los Angeles is one of the many organizations Team Depot is partnering with around the country to lessen the burden of our homeless veterans by providing clean, safe and affordable housing. The nonprofit’s Marshal House, a 72-unit transitional housing facility for homeless veterans, also offers on-site supportive services to help these military heroes transition back into society.
“The big thing for me was knowing that if I had a place to sleep and shower, I could actually get a job, work, think and function,” said Chris, a veteran and former SRO resident.
During Celebration of Service 2015, Team Depot rolled up their sleeves to make sure the Marshal House’s more than 80 veteran residents could feel proud of their transitional home.
