“I remember he said ‘We’re fine,’ then continued ‘We lost everything.’”
Gabriel, a Home Depot associate from Puerto Rico, was one of thousands who lost everything in Hurricane Maria. But in the wake of the storm, The Homer Fund gave him the means to begin to rebuild the home his family lived in for 32 years.
“When The Homer Fund grants arrived,” Gabriel remembers, “We were able to rehabilitate parts of our home.”
