After serving in the Army for 10 years, Valerie Kim James found herself facing homelessness when she heard about U.S. Vets. The organization not only helped her find housing, but it also allowed her the opportunity to give back to other veterans facing similar circumstances.
Now a leader in helping to provide housing and long-term job opportunities to those in need, Valerie is inspired by the impact U.S. Vets makes on veterans across the country. During our recent Celebration of Service, Team Depot volunteers joined forces with Valerie and U.S. Vets Houston to transform a facility that houses veterans in Houston, Texas. See their story:
