For one Home Depot associate, dreams do come true.
Part-time Garden associate and college student, Shawn Robinson, is a singer-songwriter and musician on this season’s American Idol. When he’s not singing, Shawn works at The Home Depot store in Suwanee, Georgia, just 30 miles north of Atlanta.
Shawn started singing at 10 years old. He grew his musical passions by picking up instruments beginning with the trumpet, piano, and the drums. “My mom finally got me a guitar and that has stuck with me for about five years now,” Shawn says. He taught himself to play the guitar by watching training videos and listening to his musical influences.
Shawn is passionate about his musical journey. “I believe the future is incredibly bright. I’m excited about what’s to come and grateful to see it.”
