Pete Capel is president of the Northern Division for The Home Depot. He is responsible for the sales and operations of 802 stores in 24 Midwest and Northeastern states, with a team of more than 110,000 associates.

Most recently, Pete served as vice president of Field Merchandising for the last seven years for the Northern, Southern and Western divisions. In this role, Pete also led Home Depot’s emergency response teams for natural disasters. 

Pete joined the company in 1990 as a sales associate in South Florida and has held roles of increasing responsibility, including assistant store manager, store manager, district manager, regional install manager, regional merchandise manager, divisional sales merchant, field merchandising vice president for the Northern Division and vice president of in-store environment.

A proud veteran, Pete served for seven years in the United States Marine Corps before joining The Home Depot.
