It’s that time of year when we look back at the moments that made the past 10 months unforgettable. For The Home Depot, this year was defined by growth and community investment, as we actively worked to fulfill our commitment to our associates, our customers and the planet. From building homes to shaping futures, The Home Depot and The Home Depot Foundation have been busy making a difference.
🏠 No Place Like Home Depot
This year, we opened 10 new stores across the U.S., bringing our signature orange apron to even more communities. We also completed one store expansion and one remodel. From the sunny shores of California to the heart of Texas, we’re helping more people feel at home. Check out our “No Place Like Home Depot” page to see where we’ve planted roots this year.
⚒ Building the Future of Trades
In 2025, The Home Depot Foundation strengthened its commitment to skilled trades with a $10 million investment in training and education. From our partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to our Path to Pro program and network, we’re committed to introducing the next generation of builders to the skilled trades.
🌱 Rooted in Sustainability
Through our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, we’ve helped plant thousands of trees this year, making our communities greener and healthier. Because building a better future starts with taking care of the planet we all call home.
⚡ Disaster Relief: Always Ready to Help
This year brought its share of challenges, from tornadoes in St. Louis and floods in Central Texas to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. In each of these moments, we worked alongside our partners and communities to provide support and resources for recovery. We’ve also launched a new disaster response page to make it easier to connect with the efforts happening on the ground and see how we’re working together to rebuild.
✶ Honoring Those Who Serve
This year, we expanded our military exchange program, making it easier for service members and veterans to shop with us and broadening access to resources for thousands of military families.
During our annual Celebration of Service campaign, Team Depot completed over 1,000 volunteer projects to honor those who served, including a 100-year-old veteran in San Diego. The Home Depot Foundation also invested $30 million toward veteran causes, ensuring thousands more veterans have a safe, accessible place to call home.
🔥 Standing Strong in the Face of Fire
When the Southern California Wildfires threatened communities, The Home Depot Foundation stepped up with a $3 million commitment to support recovery and rebuilding efforts. The Home Depot quickly mobilized resources to assist fire-affected communities, including providing essential supplies for clean-up and long-term recovery support.
★ 100 Smart Homes and Counting
The completion of the 100th smart home for veterans with the Gary Sinise Foundation stands as a monumental achievement in our veteran housing initiatives. These specially adapted residences offer wounded veterans essential modifications that help live independently and comfortably, highlighting the deep impact of the Home Depot Foundation's work. We also celebrated 4,000 critical home repairs with Meals on Wheels America and 1,000 critical home repairs with Purple Heart Homes.
✨ A Year to Remember
From scholarships to sustainability, disaster relief to skilled trades, 2025 was a year of building brighter futures. As we close the book on 2025, we’re reminded that every project, every partnership, and every act of service is part of something bigger. Here’s to another year of doing good, giving back, and making a difference. See you in 2026!
