While The Home Depot has long been known for helping customers complete their home improvement projects, customers are discovering that the world’s largest home improvement retailer’s aisles extend beyond the physical store to its digital décor offerings, helping them complete the whole room with final details like bedding and bath towels.
However, the textiles for these and many other home products are definitely not created equally, and The Home Depot is committed to providing the same quality in new categories as customers have come to expect across all of its home improvement lines.
Enter The Home Depot’s acquisition of The Company Store, which was announced today.
Founded in 1911, The Company Store has a rich history of providing high quality bedding, bath and related products that put the finishing touches on a room. Their success for more than a century comes from their team’s expertise in developing and sourcing the textiles that make their products special.
“The acquisition of The Company Store provides product development and sourcing capabilities to help us expand our online décor business into broader categories across the entire home,” said Craig Menear, chairman, CEO and president of The Home Depot. “On behalf of our 400,000-plus associates, I want to welcome The Company Store’s talented associates into The Home Depot family.”
While it’s the very beginning of this integration, look for more updates as The Home Depot makes it easier for customers to create the spaces that reflect the environments they love.
