Executive Vice President – Human Resources

Stephanie Smith is executive vice president – Human Resources for The Home Depot. Stephanie and her leadership team strive to create a best-in-class environment for the more than 470,000 orange-blooded associates who work at the company. Whether in a retail store, distribution center, customer contact center or a store support center, the team’s focus is to reinforce the company’s inverted pyramid leadership model and ensure decisions are made in line with the core values gifted to us by our founders. 

Previously, Stephanie was senior vice president of supply chain, where she was responsible for inventory management, transportation, delivery, and supply chain analytics functions across all customer-selling channels including store, online and pro. 

Stephanie joined the company in 2003 in store operations and has held roles of increasing responsibility in store operations, merchandising operations and supply chain. While in role as senior vice president of supply chain, she was also responsible for direct-to-customer fulfillment and delivery operations as well as the development and build of all platforms supporting customer fulfillment across Home Depot. 

Prior to joining the company, Stephanie was a consultant with Ernst & Young, LLP. Stephanie has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
