Dr. Franziska “Fran” Bell is executive vice president (EVP) and chief technology officer (CTO) for The Home Depot. In this role, she leads the strategy, development and alignment of technology, product management, data, artificial intelligence (AI), and user experience across the business. Her focus is on accelerating innovation, reducing friction, and creating seamless, data-driven experiences for associates, DIY customers, and Pros.

Throughout her career, Fran has been a globally recognized leader in digital transformation. Prior to joining The Home Depot in 2026, she served as the chief data, AI and analytics officer for Ford Motor Company, where she led the organization's AI modernization. Previously, she was senior vice president of digital technology at BP and held leadership roles at Uber and Toyota.

Fran holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California.
