BJ Powers is president of the Western Division for The Home Depot. He is responsible for leading sales and operations across 13 U.S. states and Guam, as well as Contractor’s Warehouse. BJ joined The Home Depot in 1992 as a lot associate at Store 601 in Corona, Calif.

Throughout his career with the company, he’s taken on every role at the store level, from associate to district manager, and later served as a divisional Pro director and senior director of operations for the Western Division.

Most recently, BJ served as regional vice president of the Gulf region, where he helped the region navigate multiple impactful weather events including Hurricane Harvey and the historic 2021 winter storm that affected the state of Texas.

BJ has a Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University-San Bernadino. He serves on the Boards for The Home Depot’s Homer Fund and for the company’s associate-funded PAC.
