CELEBRATION OF SERVICE: QUARTER OF A BILLION DOLLARS TO VETERAN CAUSES BY 2020

September 01, 2016

Did you know there are...

  • More than 39,000 veterans living in the U.S. today that don’t have a place to call home.
  • More than 9 million senior veterans that need help making sure the homes they do have are secure and safe for them as they age.
  • More than 1,600 post-9/11 veteran amputees in need of home repairs to make their homes more accessible.

That’s why The Home Depot Foundation is continuing its ongoing commitment to veteran-related causes by growing its support to a quarter of a billion dollars by 2020.

Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force, is helping put these dollars to work.

This September through Veterans Day, thousands of Team Depot volunteers will move out of the aisles and into communities to improve veteran housing nationwide.
