California Home Depot Stores First to Debut Full Line of CEC Compliant Light Bulbs

July 25, 2018

All 200+ Home Depot stores in California answered the call for energy efficient light bulbs, becoming the first major retailer to offer a complete line that is fully compliant with new California Energy Commission lighting efficiency standards.

“We have an entire assortment in store today ready to meet the lighting needs of all Californians,” says Aaron Stein, senior light bulb merchant for The Home Depot. “And we’re proud to lead the charge with our supplier Feit Electric, a family-owned business born and bred in California. You’re not going to find this selection anywhere else.”

Amongst more than 200 products offered by Feit Electric – a key supplier and partner that completely rebranded their products for this effort – are the 60-Watt Equivalent A19 Dimmable LED Motion Activated Light Bulb, which turns on automatically when motion is detected from up to 19 feet away. It’s great for outdoor use as a preventative measure against trespassers or indoor as a handy hands-free way to light up a space as you walk by, only using energy when it’s needed.

For classic style and modern reliability, Feit’s Enhance Filament LED light bulbs combine innovative LED technology with filament strips, and provide the benefits of LEDs with the look of a traditional bulb.

“Our product line was designed with California regulations in mind, focusing on performance, quality and innovation,” explains Alan Feit, executive vice president of Feit Electric. “We’re making it easy for Californians to get the best quality lighting at home or in the office with a whole suite of LED bulbs that meet or exceed the new California standards.”
