“We All Have a Name”: The Home Depot’s First FIFA World Cup Campaign

The creative direction in The Home Depot’s latest FIFA World Cup ad campaign is deeply personal. The commercial themed We All Have a Name,” celebrates the pride and legacy behind every name—whether it’s stitched on a jersey or worn on an orange apron.

“The Home Depot has always focused on human stories,” said Whit Friese, VP of creative marketing. “For the World Cup, we wanted to capture the emotion behind the event—not just the game itself.”

Like all commercials for The Home Depot, a real associate from The Home Depot is featured in the ad. It also features Ricardo Pepi—an American striker known for his pace, finishing and rising impact with the U.S. Men’s National Team—showcasing his signature skills on the pitch.
