The Home Depot is committed to being our Suppliers' (including Service
Providers') Partner of Choice. Our Supplier Partners play a key role in our
supply chain – producing the quality products we sell and ensuring that these
products are available to our customers when they want and need them.
We have renewed focus on Supplier engagement with the establishment of our
Partners Council process where we listen to Voice of the Supplier. We are also
working on driving Supplier Performance by establishing better means of
communication with our supply base and putting in place robust and accurate
metrics by which to measure performance.
SUPPLIER CENTER
We are upgrading our online
Supplier Center to be the single source for Home Depot supplier
information and application. We continue to ensure diversity in our supply
base with our Supplier Diversity
program.
GLOBAL SOURCING
We now have global sourcing offices in China (Shanghai and Shenzhen) and
recently, established our Latin America sourcing office in Monterey. With the
expansion of our global sourcing offices, we are able to enhance our ability
to provide sourcing support globally and continue to improve our ability to
more effectively expand our supply base to ensure that we meet our consumers'
demands.
The Home Depot currently imports products from over 40 countries. Presently,
these products are housed in twelve import distribution centers around the
United States ranging between 750,000 to 1.4 million square feet.
As we continue to develop our partnership with world-class, global suppliers,
we will be able to continue to provide products that offer our customers the
quality, value, and innovation which they can count on from The Home Depot.
